The marriage of Henry Bell Binnie and Emma Jane Shorrocks
Henry Bell BINNIE and Elizabeth Jane SHORROCKS married at St John's Church in Dukinfield, Cheshire on 8 January 1898. Henry was a 21 year old bachelor who worked as a fitter. He was living at 4 Wood Street, off Victoria Road, Dukinfield which still exists today. His father, James, worked as a moulder. Emma Jane was a 21 year old spinster and gave her occupation as card room hand. She lived at 92 Victoria Road and her father, Thomas, was a boiler maker. The witnesses were Henry's brother, Christopher, and Emma's sister, Sarah. The vicar was C G Calthrop.
