Betty BRADDOCK married Christopher John SHAW on 7 June 1897 at St Michael and All Angels, Ashton-under-Lyne. She was a 27 year old spinster living on Scotland Street, Ashton. Her father, George BRADDOCK, was deceased, but had been a publican.

Christopher was a 32 year old widower living in the Parish of St Clement's, Openshaw. He was a clothes finisher, while his father, John SHAW, was a stone mason. The witnesses were Alice and Joseph Hall HIGGINBOTTOM.
