Marriage of James Braddock and Sarah Hyde
James and Sarah married on Sunday, 26 July 1863, at St Peter's Church, Ashton. James was a 29 year old widower and lived in Ashton. No occupation was given and his father, Joesph, was a coal master. Sarah was a 27 year old spinster and also lived in Ashton. Her father, Peter, was a tailor. James could sign his name, but Sarah could not. The witnesses were Sarah Jane Armenton(?) and Nancy Wood.
