Marriage of John Cartwright and Mary Elizabeth Healy
John and Mary married on Sunday, 20 July 1884, at St Peter's Church, Ashton. John was a 19 year old bachelor and lived at Ashton Street, Dukinfield. He was a minder and his father, James, was a grinder. Mary was a 19 year old spinster and lived at 106 Hill Street, Ashton. She gave no occupation and her father, Charles, was deceased, but had been a weaver. The witnesses were John's sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth Ann and James Beard Ramsden.
