The death of Mr Joseph Cooke
occured on May 9th at 21
Grosvenor Road, Hyde, at the age of 66 years, Mr Cooke
was an esteemed member of Back-lane Working Men's Club,
and the flag was at half-mast, and a large number of the
members attended the funeral at Hyde Cemetery on Wednesday.
The mourners were Mr and Mrs Wilfred Hirst, Mrs Oldham,
Mrs Mosedale,
Mrs Hollingworth, Mr G Hirst, Mr and Mrs Davison, Mrs Kay,
Miss Downs and Mr Allock. The bearers were Messrs F Broadbent,
J Shaw, P Cleary and H Hill. — Floral tributes were
from Margaret and Wilfred; brother Frank;
Sarah and family; Mr and Mrs G Hirst; Herbert and Marion;
Mrs Kaye; Mr and Mrs Davison; Jessie and Ethel Downes; Mr
and Mrs W J Goodwin; Mrs Oldham; Mr and Mrs Hollingworth
and May; Mr and Mrs Gordon; Mr Allock and finally; Back-lane
Working Men's Club and neighbours of Grosvenor-road. |
