Marriage of Ann Elizabeth CRABTREE and George PICKFORD
St Michael's

Ann Elizabeth CRABTREE married George PICKFORD at St Michael and All Angels Church, Ashton-under-Lyne, on 3 August 1902. Ann was a 35 year old spinster, living at Church Street, Ashton. Her father, Samuel CRABTREE was a hatter. George was a 32 year old bachelor and also lived on Church Street. It is possible that they were living there temporarily to avoid paying for two lots of banns to be read. His father was William Pickford, a farm labourer.

The witnesses were Ann's borther Harry and her sister-in-law, Margaret Ellen CRABTREE.
