Edward Crabtree

The funeral took place on Wednesday last of Mr Edward Crabtree, aged 72 of 119 Nelson Street, Hyde, who died on May 7th. Mr Crabtree, who was a hatter by trade, was well known in the town and an old member of the Back Lane Workingmen’s Club.

Interment was at Hyde Cemetery, the Rev TA Parker (vicar of St George’s) officiating, and the mourners were Mrs Crabtree, Mr and Mrs G Crabtree, Mr and Mrs G Eborall, Mr and Mrs R Crabtree, Mr and Mrs Arthur Crabtree, Mrs M Hayes, Mrs A Molson, Mrs N Crabtree, Mrs A Crabtree, Mrs Hill, Mrs R Howard, Mrs P Booth and representing Back Lane Workingmen’s Club were Messrs J Goodwin, J Berry, W Robinson, G Ibbotson, J Prescott and H Lloyd — Mr E Fowden had the arrangements.
