When Fanny GODDARD married at St Michael and All Angels on 23 April 1849, she was a spinster of 'full age' living in Ashton. Her father, Miles, was a farmer. Her husband, John NUTTALL also lived in Ashton and was of 'full age'. He worked as a labourer, while his father, James, was an overlooker. Both could sign their names. The witnesses were Joshua COOPER and Thomas GRIMSHAW.
