Marriage of Alice Higginbotham and Richard Ashton
Alice and Richard married on Sunday, 17 December 1837, at St Mary's Church, Stockport. Both were of full age and lived in Hyde. Alice gave no occupation and her father, John, was a hatter. Richard was a spinner and his father, Richard, was a weaver. Neither could sign their names. The witnesses were Henry Tetlow and John Lowry.
