Marriage of Lydia Hiland and George Birchall
Lydia and George married on Sunday, 9 July 1854, at St Michael and All Angels, Ashton. Both were of full age and lived in Ashton. Lydia gave no occupation and her father, Thomas, was a hatter. George was a weaver and his father, David, was a labourer. The witnesses were Lydia's brother and future sister-in-law, John Hiland and Ann Hillson.
