Marriage of Arthur Worsley PRESTWICH and Hannah MELLOR

For a second time, Arthur PRESTWICH did not use his middle name, Worsley when he married Hannah Mellor on 30 June 1877 at St Michael and All Angels, Ashton-under-Lyne..

He was a widower, aged 35, and worked as a grinder. He lived in Ashton and his father, Joseph, was a hatter. Hannah was a widow, aged 32, also living in Ashton, and her father, Thomas Bradley, was a labourer.

Arthur could sign his name, although not well, it must be said, his surname looking more like Prestwick, while Hannah could not write. The witnesses were Isaac Bradley (his mark) and Mary Bradley.
