Joseph and Alice Ann married on Saturday, 27 September 1890, at St Michael and All Angels, Ashton. Joseph was a 23 year old bachelor and lived at 41 Victoria Street, Ashton. He was a cotton minder, while his father, Arthur, was a blowing room hand. Alice Ann was a 22 year old spinster and lived at 3 Lodge Street, Ashton. Her father, John, was a blacksmith. The witnesses were James Prestwich and Mary Ann Hall.
