Marriage of Jesse Rhodes and Betty Pattison
Jesse and Betty married on Monday, 13 October 1856, at St Paul's Church, Staley. Jesse was a bachelor of full age and lived in Staley. He was a miner and his father, John, was a farmer. Betty was a spinster also of full age and living in Staley. She was a dress maker and her father, Solomon, was a wheelwright. Neither could sign their name. The witnesses were James Brierley and Edward Shelmerdine.
