Miles Goddard RHODES married Mary BRADDOCK on 15 November 1863 at St Peter's Chrurch, Ashton-under-Lyne. He was a 24 year old bachelor lving in Ashton, the son of George RHODES. Both worked as miners.

Mary was a 21 year old spinster, also living in Ashton, the daughter of Joseph BRADDOCK, a coal merchant. The witnesses were James and Sarah BRADDOCK,
