Tabitha
died on 11 October 1848 in Mottram. She was aged 58 and
was described as the wife of John
RHODES, miner, although it is assumed that she had
been a widow for some time. The cause of death was a fever,
not certified, and the informant was her son, Matthew
RHODES who was in attendance. This was presumably
a difficult time for her son George,
since his mother died less than a month after his wife,
Margaret.
