Marriage of Ben Thorpe and Sarah Turner
Ben Thorpe and Sarah Turner married on 2 July 1856 at St Mary's, the parish church of Walton on the Hill which took in Bootle cum Linacre where they lived. Ben was a bachelor of full age and Sarah was a spinster, also of full age. Ben was a mason as was his father Ebenezer (deceased). Sarah's father, John, was also a mason. The witnesses were Ben's brother William and George Kippax.
