Death of Mary Haughton
Mary Haughton died on Saturday, 22 April 1848, at Gee Cross, Hyde. She was 37 years old and was the wife of John Voce, tailor. The cause of death was gastric fever, mild for three months and gradual exhaustion. The informant was her father, John Haughton, who had been present at the death, and it was registered on 27 April.
