Marriage of Ellen Walker and James Burgess

Ellen Walker and James Burgess married on Sunday, 11 February 1849, at Manchester Cathedral. She was a spinster and he was a bachelor and both were of 21 years old and were residing in Denton. James gave his occupation as a hatter as was his father John. Interestingly, Ellen gave her father's occupation as a twister-in. The witnesses were Ellen's brother, William, and his future wife, Amelia Robinson.
