of John Walker and Mary Kenyon
When John Walker married Mary
Kenyon on 17 October 1852 at St
Mary's, Stockport, both were described ar being of 'full
age'. John was a bachelor and
a spinner by occupation and lived at Throstle
Bank , Hyde. His father, John,
was a twister-in. Mary was a
widow and also lived at Throstle
Bank, Hyde. It was difficult to read her father's surname,
but he was Joseph Grimes or possibly Ormes and he was the
manager of a coal works. The witnesses were Jane
Walker and George Hargreaves.
John could sign his name, but
Mary could not.
