Marriage of Robert Walker and Mary Howarth
When they married at Manchester Cathedral on 17 January 1847, Robert was of full age and worked as a weaver. He was living in Ardwick and his father, John, was also a weaver. Mary was also of full age and living in Ardwick and her father, Samuel, was a weaver. Robert could sign his name, but Mary made her mark.
