Marriage of Sarah Jane Walker and Alfred Wildgoose
Sarah and Alfred married on Wednesday, 15 May 1878, at St Thomas Church, Hyde. Sarah was a 24 year old spinster and lived at Grafton Street, Hyde. She worked as a heald knitter and her father, Robert, was an overlooker. Alfred was a 25 year old bachelor and lived at Norfolk Street, Hyde. He was a hat shaper and his father, John, was a mechanic. The witnesses were Hugh Howarth and Alice Walker.
