Marriage of Olive Walker and John Jackson
Olive and John married on Sunday, 21 May 1871, at Christ Church, Ashton. Olive was a 24 year old spinster and lived at Kent Street, Ashton. She was a tenter and her father, Jonathan, was a collier. John was a 20 year old bachelor and lived at Tatton Street, Ashton. He was a collier and his father, David, was a weaver. John could sign his name, but Olive could not. The witnesses were Elijah and Sarah Jane Williamson.
